Having an extensive background in athletics myself, I have competed at a high level
of Strongman (10th in US Nationals, Masters Division), Collegiate athlete
(Basketball), and avid golfer (with zero accolades). I understand how to keep the
aging body functional.
I have worked for the Idaho Steelheads (professional hockey) her in Boise for the
last decade. As a part of their medical staff, I have seen countless injuries involving
the co-management of multiple medical professionals to these players back on the
ice as soon and safely as possible. I apply many of these same strategies and
techniques to my patients to give them the most up to date, cutting edge
Chiropractic experience.
What separates me from the other Chiropractors? Once you come into my office, you
will quickly see that I am unique in my chiropractic philosophies. We are going to
work together at getting you feeling better. Movement is medicine, and I will show
you how to use specific movements and exercises to you benefit.
On your initial visit, we will sit and talk a bit about your history and expectations.
We will complete an easy to follow movement screen to help identify your
complaints, followed by a series of specialized orthopedic tests to zero in on an
individual diagnosis. From there, we will discuss the findings and the treatments
that will be involved.
You will quickly find that I am not the typical chiro, yes, there will be joint
manipulations, but it will not end there. We will go over movement patterns that
will help you regain control of your injury. Each patient will get "homework" to
incorporate to further advance the healing process of the body. We are not
reinventing the wheel here, we are keeping the wheels rolling.
Things I will NOT be doing:
Getting out of my lane. I am very good with joints, muscles and movement. I will
not make ant grand proclamations of curing or fixing things beyond my chiropractic
abilities.
Setting patients up on long-term treatment plans. I can't tell you how many times I
will need to see you. I have experience that leads me to understand the process of
healing, but I can't tell you how you feel, you get to tell me.
There will be no high-pressure sale tactics used to try and keep you coming back in.
While x-rays can be an important diagnostic tool, in general, it will not be my first
option in your visit. With some obvious exceptions, orthopedic testing can be as
telling and even more accurate than taking x-rays.
What I WILL doing:
Work with you. Listen to you. Help guide you to being the most functional
individual you can be.
